Cameras, alarms and building devices in one scenario engine

Smart building

ProVife Smart building combines alarm, fire, intercom, access control and audio devices with cameras in the same if–then scenarios, and manages residential, commercial and school buildings section by section from one central point.

Smart building

Building security is more than cameras: door sensors, detectors, locks, doorbells and speakers should all respond to the same event. ProVife Smart building brings smart relays, sirens and sensors on the local network, and optionally devices on your own Home Assistant server, together under alarm, fire detection, intercom, access control, audio control and lighting. If–then scenarios use camera and AI events, device states, time of day and alarm mode as triggers. Building management handles every unit, business and school section in the organization tree with its own alarm mode, devices, cameras and plans. Graphical monitoring shows live status on floor plans.

One scenario engine

Camera events and building devices meet in the same rules; no need to bridge separate systems.

Local and resilient

Smart relays, sirens and sensors run on the local network; an internet outage does not stop building security.

Management that scales

Hundreds of units or departments are managed from the same center with templates and section-scoped scenarios.

Security you can see on the plan

Graphical monitoring and the alarm map instantly show the operator where in the building an event is happening.

If–then scenarios

Each scenario has a trigger, optional conditions and up to ten actions. The trigger can be a camera or AI event, a device reaching a certain value, a time of day or a change in alarm mode. Actions include device commands, notifications with a camera pop-up, WhatsApp messages, alarm mode changes and spoken announcements. If one action fails, the others still run; the result appears in the recent runs list.

  • Event, device, time and alarm mode triggers
  • Alarm mode and time range conditions
  • Up to ten actions per scenario
  • Ready-made scenario templates for every category
  • Result tracking in the recent runs list

Alarm and fire detection

The building alarm works in disarmed, armed home and armed away modes; only scenarios can set the alarm state. Door and window contacts, motion and presence sensors, water leak sensors and sirens are grouped under alarm. Fire detection combines smoke, gas, carbon monoxide and heat detectors with the cameras’ flame and smoke analytics in the same scenario. Alarms from a section without cameras still reach authorized users as notifications.

  • Disarmed, armed home and armed away modes
  • Door, window, motion and water leak sensors
  • Smoke, gas, carbon monoxide and heat detectors
  • Fire scenarios with camera flame and smoke analytics
  • Siren and announcement actions

Intercom, access control and audio

When the doorbell rings, the related camera appears in a pop-up window, and the door opens with one tap using the “Open door” button in the notification box. Under access control, locks, garden and garage gates, and door release relays can be opened, locked or scheduled. Audio control makes text-to-speech announcements over speakers, adjusts volume and plays automatic announcements on events.

  • Camera pop-up when the doorbell rings
  • One-tap door opening from the notification
  • Lock, garden gate and garage door control
  • Text-to-speech announcements over speakers
  • Automatic announcements on events

Residential, commercial and school management

Building management uses the existing organization tree: site, block, floor, unit, room. A node is marked as a unit, business or school section; each section and each building’s common areas have their own alarm mode. A scenario linked to a section sees only that section’s cameras and devices. Type-specific templates, such as an after-hours alarm or an evacuation announcement, are applied to all sections of a building in one step.

  • Unit, business and school section types
  • Separate alarm modes for sections and common areas
  • Section-scoped scenarios
  • Apply a template to all sections in one step
  • Devices, cameras and alerts on the section card

Graphical monitoring and alarm map

A PNG or JPG plan is uploaded for each block, floor, unit and department; devices and cameras are placed by dragging them onto the plan. The Graphical monitoring screen shows live device status with colors. An operator clicking a device can open a door temporarily, bypass the device or make an announcement. Manual alarm, siren silencing and system reset are available from the command bar. The alarm map automatically opens the plan of the device that raised the alarm.

  • Building, floor and section plans
  • Live device status
  • Temporary door opening from 1 to 60 seconds
  • Bypass, manual alarm, siren silencing, system reset
  • The alarming device shown on the plan

People counting zones

Track the number of people entering, leaving and inside areas such as building entrances, cafeterias or floors. A zone can combine the counting lines or occupancy scenarios of multiple cameras. Because counts are read from stored events, they are preserved even if the server restarts. When a zone reaches capacity, a single alert is generated, and this alert can trigger scenarios; for example, an announcement plays over the entrance speaker when the cafeteria is full.

  • Line crossing and live occupancy sources
  • One zone from multiple cameras
  • Daily reset time
  • Alert and scenario when capacity is reached
  • Counts preserved across restarts

Frequently asked questions

Do smart devices work without internet?

Yes. Smart relays, sirens and sensors connect to ProVife over the local network, and commands go directly over the local network. Scenarios and barriers keep working even if the internet connection is lost.

Can I use my existing Home Assistant installation?

Yes. Your own Home Assistant server connects with an access token. Services such as lights, relays and sirens are called on events, and entity states are turned into ProVife alarms.

Can each unit in a residential complex manage its own alarm?

Yes. Each unit, business or school section has its own alarm mode, and scenarios linked to a section see only that section’s cameras and devices. Common areas are managed separately at the building level.

Who can operate building devices?

There is a separate “Smart Home use” permission for arming alarms, opening doors, operating devices and making announcements. This permission is granted by role, and actions are logged.
